Berlin | Walking Tour

Soviet Memorial

German Parliament - The Reichstag
Holocaust Memorial
Brandenburger Gate
Martin-Groupius-Bau
Sony Centre
During our brief stay in Berlin, we decided to go on a walking tour as it's one of the most effective ways of covering must-see sights in Berlin without getting lost. Through our hotel, we booked a four hour tour that covered the historical side of Berlin with Tours Berlin. Our group was a small one, seven including the tour guide. It was truly an amazing and interesting day, we walked a lot (make sure you wear comfortable shoes!) and thankfully (although windy and chilly), the weather was fine. We visited sites rich in history like the The Reichstag, the Holocaust Memorial and Check Point Charlie, as well as highly contrasting modern buildings like the Sony Centre. Berlin is so fascinating, a city full of old and new contrasts with so much to show and tell. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and passionately told us facts and information as well as stories, which made the experience even better than what it already was. There is so much to see and do in Berlin, three days wasn't near enough! One day I hope to venture back to Berlin and see the wonderful city from a local point of view.
