Art galleries are a special place. There's a quiet calm in the air, but also a buzzing thought process going on internally that creates such a unique experience.A couple of weeks ago I visited the Unfolding: New Indian Textiles exhibition at the Fremantle Art Centre. Today is actually the last day you can see the works. Everything was so beautiful. The exhibition was centred around textiles and showcased different techniques applied to various forms of textiles. There was dyed fabric, stitched beads and string, and intricate weaves just to name a few. A lot of the works were done in a modern style, however traditional Indian methods, colours and patterns created a juxtaposition that really emphasised the artworks.
