Piccolo's Corner love their poached eggs, seeing as almost all of their dishes include poached eggs. Even though the bill came out to be more expensive than what I thought it would be, Piccolo's corner is a nice place to get some simple and yummy food. We started off with a freshly squeezed apple juice and a apple, carrot, beetroot and ginger juice, which were both refreshing, zingy and delicious.
We decided to share the tomato bruschetta that came with two wonderfully poached eggs, buttered ciabatta toast, mozzarella, sprouts and pesto. It was really simple, and the flavour combinations were classically satisfying. We also shared a polenta and pear cake, that has the perfect amount of sweetness.
The decor of Piccolo's Corner is mix matched and somewhat humorous, there are a lot of things to look at that will keep you entertained whilst eating. They also have a lovely shaded courtyard around the side! Seeing the dish didn't equate to the price we paid, I wouldn't rush back, although I wouldn't mind stopping by if I was in the area to try out their pumpkin smash and their other desserts on offer!
